Yes, we know your excited.
So excited I bet your just drooling to hear all the sexy gooey-carmel filled goodness that is game night. Well here it is:
On june 28th, starting at 7:30 pm, Dragons den will open to your past. You will play games that were awesome when you were still enjoying having someone put baby powder on your bum. So we'll have games from today for the people who still enjoy it and games from when we were little for those who have outgrown that little bit of fun.
Nintendo, Atari, playstation, just to name a few.
And the food? Oh, let me tell you about the food. Our very own ASB president shall be grilling great foods upon well, a grill. Mmmm Mmmm, free food!
Oh, and did we mention the prizes? No? Good.
Thats because prizes will be done a little different then past game nights. First off, no one but Amy, Marissa and I will know what the prizes are (Aside from the big ones, which you'll see on the posters around the school). What...

Hey guys. It's that time again, the time between classes when we make the game club room look pretty again. (At least, until lunch on the first day back from classes)

Cleaning day will be THURSDAY! Starting 1pm until we finish!

Come by for some fun chat, some game breaks, and most likely we'll all get food after.

The elections for Game Club officer positions is now on. Check your Cogswell email for an Online Survey where you may elect new officers. Officers elected this term will take office at the start of the Summer 2008 term.

HELLO GAME CLUB MEMBERS

It may not be too late to raise some more money for the club, so if you can bake or know someone who can, sign up!

Finals time may be the perfect opportunity to prey on sleep deprived, hungry students. So we can offer them sugary treats and caffeinated drinks to help them burn the midnight oil!

First I need to know if there's an interest, then what you can bake (cookies, muffins, cupcakes, cakes, etc.) and what ingredients you'll need. With the budget we have left, we'll see what the options are. Since it's crunch time it might be best to buy some pre-made muffins or cupcakes and adding our own frosting decorations. During the day the goods could be sold in the club room, then we could walk around with a cart during the evening.

Examples:

  • Mario Shroom cupcakes
  • Pac-man cookies
  • Companion Cube Cake FTW

And we'd...

At the request of our fearless leader (and because I keep forgetting to), I'm posting tourney rules on the forums.

If there are any questions about the Rockband tournament, ask me. If you have any for the Smash Bros. tournament, ask Christian Henderson.

CALLING ALL BANDS

Here are the rules for the Rockband Tourney at Game Development Club's next Game Night!!!

Bands will be able to choose varying difficulties for each member and must select three songs from the list below. "Voice assist" for the vocalist will be turned off. Also, one band per person!

Points will be determined by multipliers and averages.

Easy: 50% = 1.50 x
Medium: 75% = 1.25 x
Hard: 85-90% = 1.10 x
Expert: 100% = 1.00 x

EXAMPLE

You have two members on "Easy," one on "Hard" and one on "Expert."
Take 1.50 + 1.50 + 1.10 + 1.00 = 5.10/4 = 1.275 x the band's...
